Pantone has chosen Greenery as the color of the year. This choice will, as always, influence fashion as well as corporate branding. Greens had been trending in corporate colors already, especially in the tech industry. "A refreshing and revitalizing shade, Greenery is symbolic of new beginnings. Greenery is a fresh and zesty yellow-green shade that evokes the first days of spring when nature’s greens revive, restore and renew. Illustrative of flourishing foliage and the lushness of the great outdoors, the fortifying attributes of Greenery signals consumers to take a deep breath, oxygenate and reinvigorate. Greenery is nature’s neutral. " Colors evoke emotional responses. Greenery is a yellow-green. The color yellow is associated with joy, happiness, intellect, and energy. Green is associated with growth, harmony and freshness. So what do you think? My take: fashion-wise I am still in love with 2015's Pantone color of the year, Marsala. Branding and marketing purposes? Greens were already trending and Greenery will impact corporate branding in 2017 more than Marsala did in 2015.
