Peeps, I know it's really hot. How do I know this? Welp, my central air went down. First, I tried denial. It wasn't really down. We were probably put on a brown-out by those know-it-alls at the electric company. It was probably my imagination. I was hallucinating.
Then the thermostat hit 88 degrees and reality hit me hard. I hate reality, don't you? I called the HVAC company who told me they couldn't get here until the next morning. Then I checked into a Marriott. Listen, I'm nobody's hero.
Anyway...so I know it's hot. And we're not thinking about the winter holiday. But guess what? It's mid-August, two weeks from now it will be September. Halloween stuff is already in the stores.
Yeah, it's coming. And you have to plan ahead. If you don't plan ahead you will be stuck trying to figure out your corporate gifts for your clients and employees. You won't have any idea what to do that's exciting, hot, new, and will leave a lasting impression. You will run into stock issues. All in all, it will take way more of your energy and mental stamina than it needs to. And then what will you have left inside of you to deal with your family over the holidays? Oh, you don't need mental energy and stamina to deal with your family during the holidays, because they are awesome and make everything a joy? See, I could hardly write that without laughing. Come on. It's just us here. Let's be honest with each other.
